Overview
Your armoured vehicle drive course experience will begin with instruction on the technical details of the vehicles, method of driving and safety aspects. Next is a guided inspection when all the design features are explained. Then you get behind the wheel of the Ferret, put on the headphones and you will be in direct contact with your instructor who will be in the turret. Run through the five gears with a pre-selecter gearbox, admire the military features and swing the gun turret! The instruction will be on a specially designed off-road testing course, where you will master the gears and go up and down the hills.
When your instructor believes you are ready, you will be introduced to the mighty Saracen. The controls are similar and you'll soon get used to the size.
At the end of the course you will be presented with a certificate which features a photo of you and an armoured vehicle.

Session Time
This is a half day experience starting at either 9.30am or 1.00pm on weekends or 10.00am on weekdays.
Guidelines & Restrictions
No experience is necessary although you must have a basic driver's licence. You may get a little dusty while driving the vehicles so dress accordingly. Long pants and strong shoes or boots must be worn. This experience may be canceled in heavy, continuous rain conditions and will be rescheduled.
