Overview
Feel the rush of white water rafting! Join us for some true fun and excitement on the Barron River. We are a vibrant, innovative and highly professional company utilising the latest in white water technology to ensure you an exhilarating yet safe half day trip.
Located only 20 minutes north west of Cairns is the adrenalin pumping Barron River. This is a dam controlled river, allowing consistent supplies of water all year round!
After a full safety briefing and kitting everyone in the latest safety equipment we'll organise everyone into the rafts. Each of our rafts can hold up to 8 people. Each raft will have at least one experience guide, who will ensure you make it down the river in the safest yet most exhilarating way!
The trip down the river generally takes 2 hours. Along the way take in the stunning scenery of the surrounding rainforest. There'll be plenty of rapids (up to Grade 3) on our way down to keep the adrenaline pumping.
Location
Cairns (Cairns and Tropical North QLD - Queensland)
We will collect you from your Cairns accommodation. This experience takes place on the Barron River.
Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Numbers
There is a minimum 4 and maximum of 70 people per tour.
Session Time
This is a half day experience. We will collect you from your Cairns accommodation at around 2:00pm. The day will conclude at approximately 5:45pm when we drop you back at your accommodation.
Guidelines & Restrictions
No experience necessary. Minimum age to participate is 13 years of age. Some medical conditions may exclude participants from rafting. Passengers should disclose any medical conditions at time of booking. Please note a levy of $25 will need to be paid directly to the supplier on the day.
Every participant must sign a Liability Release Form prior to commencing rafting and some packages. Passengers under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.
Extra Info
We suggest you wear swimmers under your clothes. Remember to bring a towel, money for drinks/souvenirs, a change of clothes & joggers (that you don't mind if they get wet). $25 pp Raft Levy is required to be paid on board.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Cancellation Cover. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Cancellation Cover provider.
