Overview
Join us for a fully guided tour to discover the surprise held within the Australian bush.
Throughout your walkabout tour, your ranger will provide you with an interactive experience of the Australian bush tucker and bush medicine. Sample different types of bush nectar and learn about which native Australian plants can be used to cure colds and headaches. You will also learn about how to repel insects using sap from a plant that can be found in the Australian bush.
Your ranger will then take you for a short walk to visit the ancient Aboriginal sites of the Darkinjung tribes who hunted and lived in the area over 10,000 years ago. Your ranger will take you back to the Dreamtime with stories of their culture and lifestyle.
Being a sanctuary our animals are free roaming so don't be surprised if you find some native animals such as kangaroos or emus following you on your walk.
Morning/afternoon tea is served throughout the tour and includes freshly made damper and bush condiments such as bush honey and jam.
There is also an option to include a BBQ lunch or dinner at the conclusion of your tour. The menu is Australian style BBQ with sausages, steak, fresh garden salad, pasta salad and the famous Australian treat of lamingtons for dessert. Complete the meal with a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee.
